On 05 March 2016, RaksaKoma Foundation cooperated with HOPE Cambodia to celebrate CAMBODIA HEARING DAY, an event organized to provide Cambodians with hearing disabilities or difficulties hearing care and solutions. In the event, experts explained what may lead some people, especially young children, to hearing loss and shared some techniques to prevent it. H.E CHEA Serey, founder of RaksaKoma, stressed the importance of health and hygiene in her speech to a group of hearing impaired at the event. Her Excellency also talked against discrimination of the hearing impaired as well as people with other disabilities. This is the first time we celebrate a HEARING DAY in Cambodia, and we plan to make this an annual tradition. Our country needs strong human resources, and with this event we hope to have spread some awareness about hearing disabilities and spread message about how to protect your hearing.
